I brought my entire family out for dinner just now. It was supposed to be a grand occasion. The restaurant I chose was a fine one on Chinese cuisine and was frequented by many VIPs. Nothing is supposed to go wrong ya know? I mean it's a nice well known place with reputation. I kinda got fed up with Western/Japanese/Korean/Thai cuisine - hence, my suggestion to go for Chinese for a change. So, there we were, happily settled down by our seats and busily ordering our main dishes when suddenly, all hell broke lose. Duh.
You see. There were these 3 teenage boys (aged around 15-17 years old) running at lightning speed, heading towards our table! Apparently 2 of them were chasing after the first one. We thought it was a normal chasing scenario among youngsters. Out of nowhere, upon closing in onto the first guy, they pulled him aside, flinging him around and got into a huge fight! My mum was scared shitless and my dad, well, he's anything but scared. Actually, he's very curious and would have witnessed the fight live if not for me shouting for him to leave the place.
The fight escalated to the direction of our table. Overturned several chairs and caused quite a ruckus. My mum and other sisters already angkat kaki when they saw the paikia (they dressed like one, ok) nearing our table. I on the other hand, had to practically drag my other sis away (she was sitting next to me and her eyes were glued to the guys, nabeh! Kek si wa!). She's very much like my father. Kaypoh type. Wanna watch wor. Chee kek (translate : exciting) wor. Tiu. Kena belasah baru tau. Frankly speaking, if I didn't drag her away she would have received several handful of fists already. It was that close, ok.
The damn kids even used the chair vacated by my sis to beat the other kid kaw kaw. Not satisfied with that, they hurled it at the poor guy. It was chaos. Chairs went a flying. Fists too. I shouted at my dad to leave. We went somewhere else to eat. He left quite quite reluctantly. *sigh*
After that my dad was grumpy. First, he was starving. Second, he missed the chance to witness a good exciting fight. -__-'' With the initial plan totally ruined, we settled for Italian food instead. We ordered enough for a feast of a dozen instead of for the 6 of us. The table was literally full with food.
My dad sulked and sighed until food arrived and he ate until he was partially or more or less full. Only then he started smiling and talking. *SIGH* My fault also. I lured him and my mum with the yummy mouth watering shark fin soup and oxtail and huge prawns and many more other nice nice food wor. Now tidak jadi makan. Haiya! Si ginna. Of all the bloody time to fight, why the hell do you hafta pick a fight near our table and at the time we were there wor! Eeee... So pissed!
